Karen Mae (Wong) Seguin passed away quietly on Oct. 29, 2024 at Surrey Memorial Hospital in B.C., with her loving husband and daughter at her side. Karen was born on Aug. 21, 1965 to devoted parents Ken Sen Wong and Margaret Shuk Han Wong in Listowel, Ont. She grew up in London, Ont., eventually graduating from Western University and working in the city for many years. She first moved to B.C. with her husband in 1995, before moving back to London to start a family in 2001. After moving back to B.C. with her family in 2004, she has stayed there since but always considered London “home.”
Karen is survived by her husband, Chuck Seguin; her daughter, Kendra Seguin; her brother, Terry Wong; and her parents. She is predeceased by her brother, Philip Wong. She is remembered by her friends and family in B.C., Ontario and beyond.
Karen was known for being an incredibly caring person, towards loved ones and strangers alike. Her glowing smile radiated a friendliness and sincerity that drew in many.
Karen was extremely thankful to the staff in N51 at B.C. Cancer at Surrey Memorial Hospital. Her family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Shustik and the hardworking nurses and care aids in the oncology unit.
The public is invited to a Celebration of Life service at Oliveira Funeral Home, 2657 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam BC Nov. 23 at 10:30 a.m.
